This is great way to hide all the icons on your desktop easily. Then you double click the blank desktop to open the desktop folder in the finder. I find it very useful, and it's very easy to turn on and off.
Usage
- Camouflage supportsHotkeys to show/hide the icons, but this usage is not recommended(Camouflage is made to hide your desktop 24/7)
- Instead of using Hotkeys try the following: Camouflage opens a Finder window whenever you double-click on the Desktop
- Ifyou were looking for Camouflage you probably have a messy desktop, soyou should put this window in list-view to have a much better overviewover the tons of files
- If this is too much work for you (like it is to me), there is an option to open the Desktop window on a single click
Key Features
- perfect system-integration: change your wallpaper and Camouflage will show the change instantly.
- works with multiple monitors: attach new monitors and the icons will instantly be hidden.
- drag & drop: drag files on the desktop and they will be copied onto your real desktop.
- finderintegration: click the desktop and Finder will be activated and opensor selects a separate desktop window. (You can disable this with thePopup Desktop option of the menu. To still open a window, press theoption-key while clicking the desktop, or by double-clicking on thedesktop)
- Support for Path Finder
- ability to show and hide the icons (available in status item menu)
- works with desktop managers
- ability to 'click through' Camouflage to get the normal Desktop-Context menu (Use with caution, you may select a file and don't notice it. You may only want to use that feature if you are using FinderPop)
