Angels and Demons by Dan Brown is a mystery/adventure novel. Robert Langdon is the main character of this novel and its sequel, The Da Vinci Code. This story is about a conflict between the Roman Catholic Church and a secret society known as the Illuminati.

My wife read me this book and it was very fun to listen to. Exciting from start to finish. I can't wait for the movie in May 09 :) This is way better than the movie. The movie left out so my dramatic fighting parts. I have no idea why they took them out, but it totally ruined the movie. I'm glad I read the book!

If you like adventure movies (Indiana Jones type stuff) or you are not big into reading, this may be the perfect book for you. For those avid readers who pick this volume up, relax and enjoy! Angels & Demons isn't about deep, classical, change your life reading. This is an adventure story in true form. Mr. Brown has a nice way of constructing the chapters so that it is hard to put your book down at the end of one - you have to find out what happens next! My husband and I particularly enjoy the way the book introduces the reader to wonderful architecture, personalities and works of art. We have enjoyed looking up photos of the locations and learning more about them. His characters come to life and are interesting for the most part. Once again, not deep reading but highly enjoyable.
