I have the first film on VHS, and have seen the DVD version of the 2nd and 3rd films in the series. All three are wonderfully produced with excellent actors. I introduced my husband the series and he thought they were pretty good. I particularly enjoy watching Christopher Walken's performance as the husband. "Dammit Sarah, they're not pets! We live by them!" But this is a great window into the struggles of living on a farm, and in a different era. The values and emotions ring true. All in all a wonderful, enriching entertainment experience. And you don't have to be worried about children viewing this series, there are good things instilled by this story, not junk like most of the "Family" features marketed today.

I first experienced Genmai Cha at a Japanese restaurant. This style of green tea has a warm nutty fullness to it that I fell in love with, and I have never been able to drink "plain" green tea since. We purchase the Shirakiku brand at our local Japanese market. Every morning we prepare it in our french press, and put it in a thermos so that it can be consumed through out the work day. Whenever we go out for sushi, we order Genmai Cha as our beverage. The delicate flavors of the fish are complemented and balanced with this wonderful tea.

As a person who dislikes the high sugar content of American chocolates, this Lindt dark chocolate is a supreme delight. The chocolate flavor is very robust, the high chocolate content gives it a slightly different texture, not as creamy as some bars but I really like it. A little goes a long way, so break off a square and enjoy! I have also tried the higher chocolate content bars. I melted them down and used them to make home made brownies. The rich unadulterated chocolate made for a sublime brownie treat. Or just enjoy a piece with your cup of tea or coffee, a favorite ritual in my day. In comparison to other brands of high content dark chocolate, I have consistently found Lindt to have superior color, aroma, flavor and texture.

Our purchasing department at work presented me with this stapler to replace my old broken one. It is a great stapler with nice tight spring action. Heavy duty metal - no plastic, and a wonderful shiny red paint job with nickel Swingline logo on top. Staples 20 sheets of standard paper together with ease! Uses standard staples. Every one knows, it's my stapler.

Even after a decade since it's release, and multiple viewings this is still a tension and suspense filled adventure. Considering how quickly special effects technology can be outdated, this film has aged surprisingly well. One can not help but be transported into the terrifying clutches of the diabolical Raptors. Although the script may indeed be lacking in some ways, the performances make up for that. The children are sincere and although the adult characters may come off as stereotypical, the actors breathe life into their roles and you care about what will happen to them, aside from a couple of rather hollow side characters. Altogether a wonderful nights entertainment. Some of those scenes stay with you long after watching!
