The Haunted Forest was a great experience. I was astounded at how much detail there was with the displays. And it is a really neat feeling to be wandering through a bunch of trees and shrubs with spooky dim lanterns guiding you on the dusky winding path. One important note for asthma sufferers, if you have trouble breathing when fog machines are in use you will want to come prepared with medication, or a mask. I have a lot of trouble with the fog triggering my asthma, and even though a good portion of this event is outside, there are extended periods of walking through buildings that are completely filled with the "fogged" air. It almost became too much for me at one point. Also, make sure you bring a warm jacket as the wait to get in could become quite long. The entertainment they have set up for the waiting line is wonderful. The bathroom man was hilariously memorable. I was very impressed with the mine shaft experience, I felt like I was wandering into great subterranean depths with the dirt walls and musty smell. Also I enjoyed the crypt like room with the corpses that lean in and out from the walls under the spooky atmosphere of a strobe light. The walk through twirling tunnel is always a favorite. Some of the optical effects are the most thrilling. As a previous reviewer mentioned, I also felt like the event petered out towards the end and felt like they put some of the best stuff up front. All in all it was a great experience, definitely worth the money. I felt like I was in there for a really long time and I enjoyed every minute!

My husband and I bought this blanket to keep by our sofa and use on cold winter nights while watching movies, so that we're not as tempted to turn the house thermostat up.

When it arrived I opened it and plugged it in to make sure the heating elements were working correctly. I was impressed that the blanket control has 10 different heating settings in addition to the on/off switch. The only thing I dislike about the blanket is that the fabric is really very thin which makes you notice the big wires running throughout the blanket. To remedy this I decided to slip the entire blanket into a cotton duvet cover (the wire connection simply emerges from the semi-open closure at the end of the cover). This small addition makes the blanket much more comfortable and stylish in my opinion, if you are using it in this way as opposed to traditional use on a bed where presumably you would have a layer of sheet between body and blanket. I am thinking a flannel duvet cover might be an ideal solution, and I will try that in the future. The price of the blanket was wonderful, we paid around $60, on Amazon. When we started looking at blankets, most of the models were $100 plus! That would have been definitely too much for a blanket this thin, but around the $60 range seems just about right.

Usage of the blanket is a breeze, simply plug in, set dial and relax. The blanket heats up quickly and evenly. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed blocking the chill out of the night air as we enjoyed scary movie night, and our circa 1910 home didn't have to have it's furnace gobbling up extra fuel.

[UPDATE] 4/2010

We have been using the blanket regularly, and we moved it onto our bed as our room seemed extra cold this winter. It is still working wonderfully and I am so glad we got it. I do still have it in the duvet cover, and I wouldn't like using it without that over it. Definitely a great buy.

(Update 5/2011)

Blanket is used all winter, and still works great. I still have it in the duvet cover. Guests like using it while watching movies just like we do.

I saw the commercials for this yogurt and decided to try a 6 pack. Shame on me I know better than to be swayed by advertisements... So I get my pack home and try the blueberry flavor, something isn't right with the taste. After eating the yogurt I was left with a strange bitter medicine like aftertaste in my mouth. So then I check the ingredients. Sure enough this yogurt is made with artificial sweetener, and not the healthy kind like Splenda. No sir, this is made with Aspartame a sweetener known to cause poisoning as well as this list of side effects:

Adverse reactions and side effects of aspartame include:

Eye
blindness in one or both eyes
decreased vision and/or other eye problems such as: blurring, bright flashes, squiggly lines, tunnel vision, decreased night vision
pain in one or both eyes
decreased tears
trouble with contact lenses
bulging eyes

Ear
tinnitus - ringing or buzzing sound
severe intolerance of noise
marked hearing impairment

Neurologic
epileptic seizures
headaches, migraines and (some severe)
dizziness, unsteadiness, both
confusion, memory loss, both
severe drowsiness and sleepiness
paresthesia or numbness of the limbs
severe slurring of speech
severe hyperactivity and restless legs
atypical facial pain
severe tremors

Psychological/Psychiatric
severe depression
irritability
aggression
anxiety
personality changes
insomnia
phobias

Chest
palpitations, tachycardia
shortness of breath
recent high blood pressure

Gastrointestinal

diarrhea, sometimes with blood in stools
abdominal pain
pain when swallowing

Skin and Allergies
itching without a rash
lip and mouth reactions
hives
aggravated respiratory allergies such as asthma

Endocrine and Metabolic
loss of control of diabetes
menstrual changes
marked thinning or loss of hair
marked weight loss
gradual weight gain
aggravated low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
severe PMS

Other
frequency of voiding and burning during urination
excessive thirst, fluid retention, leg swelling, and bloating
increased susceptibility to infection

Additional Symptoms of Aspartame Toxicity include the most critical symptoms of all
death
irreversible brain damage
birth defects, including mental retardation
peptic ulcers
aspartame addiction and increased craving for sweets
hyperactivity in children
severe depression
aggressive behavior
suicidal tendencies

Aspartame may trigger, mimic, or cause the following illnesses:
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Epstein-Barr
Post-Polio Syndrome
Lyme Disease
Grave’s Disease
Meniere’s Disease
Alzheimer’s Disease
ALS
Epilepsy
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
EMS
Hypothyroidism
Mercury sensitivity from Amalgam fillings
Fibromyalgia
Lupus
non-Hodgkins
Lymphoma
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)

I think it is terrible that Dannon would sell a food with this ingredient, when there are safe alternatives available. Think of all the unsuspecting consumers that do not read labels, or have no idea this ingredient could be potentially dangerous to them, or their children. I will never eat these yogurts again and neither should anyone who cares about the health of their body.

Nice light and tasty snack. The real cheddar is delicious too, a nice alternative to greasy potato chips.
