You helped me solve a haunting problem. Yes, you were right on. The problem was that I had configured the spam control to require 1000 points before anyone could create a group or a private message. The problem still is that the plugin does not give you an indication of what the problem is, as a user,if you try to create a group or send a private message and the user has less than the required, the prompt window that pops up is blank, and then if you click the button (OK, I think) it redirects you to the homepage. So this is confusing to the user (I thought that the cubepoints plugin did not work.

It might be good to check on this and let the cubepoints guys know because on the cubepoints site there is a lot of frustration going on on both sides, the programmers and the users, both thinking that this is an incompatibility between Wordpress 3.5 and cubepoints. I even got bashed and scolded (close to tared and feathered) by asking the same question I asked you. Fortunately, you gave me an answer, not another scolding for asking 'a stupid question' (I still bear the scars. I'm going to therapy though )
Thanks for your answer and from keeping me from throwing away my cubepoints or going to the mental ward.

Only thing to comes to mind is to check the values in the "Spam Control" section. Make sure they are all set to zero or a point value you want your members to achieve before they access to create groups & post updates.

Tosh, I am having a problem with Cubepoints and Buddypress and I thought you might have an answer.I am using Cubepoints version 3.2.1 with Cubepoints with buddypress integration 1.9.8.9. and when I click on Create a Group, Submit a message or any Buddypress submission type page, I get a Browser Blank prompt or Alert box.
If I turn off Cubepoints_buddypres integration plugin I can use the Buddypress features, once I turn it back on the problem persists. This happens in the member area.
I really need to use Cubepoints but I also need to use the features of Buddypress.
Any suggestions? Anything would be greatly appreciated since my site should go live this coming week.
